Product Safety and Recall Policy

At Drogaria Reinel, the safety of our customers is important. This policy explains safety information for garden hand tools, assembly and secure fitting, use, storage, recalls, and product safety communications.

1. General product safety

Customers should read and follow all instructions, warnings, assembly manuals, maintenance instructions, and safety information provided with each garden hand tool.

Garden hand tools may only be used for their intended domestic gardening purpose, unless otherwise stated on the product page. Do not exceed the usage limits indicated on the product page or those applicable to the handle, cutting edge, or tool head. Do not modify, overload, or abuse the tools, and do not use a tool for a purpose it was not designed for, such as a pry bar, hammer, or chisel.

Before each use, check the handle, cutting edge, tool head, locking mechanism, and fasteners for looseness, cracks, deformation, or damage.

2. Tool assembly and secure fitting

Some long-handled garden tools or replaceable tool heads may require assembly. Customers are responsible for carefully following the assembly instructions, and the handle and tool head must be firmly connected as described in the instructions.

Before use, check the locking mechanism, screws, fasteners, and connection points. Improper assembly may result in a loose or detached tool head, loss of control of the cutting edge, personal injury, or property damage.

For long-handled or heavier garden tools, we recommend that two people carry out the assembly or call in a qualified professional if necessary.

3. Safe use and storage

Wear suitable protective equipment, such as gloves and eye protection, when using sharp garden hand tools.

Before each use, check that the handle is secure, the cutting edge is undamaged, and the locking mechanism works reliably. Do not use garden hand tools that are damaged, loose, cracked, deformed, or have a chipped or broken edge.

Keep blades, cutting edges, and pointed tips protected with their protective covers where possible or store them facing inward, and keep them out of reach of children and pets.

After use, remove soil and plant sap from the tool, wipe it dry, apply rust-prevention lubrication where appropriate, and store the tool in a dry place.

Do not use garden hand tools for unintended purposes, such as prying, hammering, or cutting materials they are not designed for. Keep small parts, fasteners, protective covers, and packaging away from children and pets.

4. Children and safety in the home

Customers must keep garden hand tools, blade protective covers, small parts, fasteners, packaging materials, and plastic bags out of reach of children and pets. Children must not play with garden hand tools or any sharp-edged tools. Packaging materials must be safely removed after unpacking or assembly.

5. Product Care

Follow all care instructions provided with the garden hand tool. Clean off soil and plant sap after use, dry the tool, and apply rust-prevention lubrication to metal surfaces and moving parts where appropriate. Keep cutting edges protected, and check handles and fasteners regularly. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, direct heat, harsh detergents, or improper cleaning methods unless the tool is designed to withstand them.

6. Product Recalls and Safety Warnings

If we become aware of a product recall, safety warning, or corrective action that affects a garden hand tool we sell, we may contact affected customers using the contact information provided at the time of purchase.

We may also provide instructions on repair, replacement, refund, disposal, or other corrective action.

7. Report safety issues

If you believe a garden hand tool poses a safety risk, please stop using it and contact us immediately at info@drogariareinel.com or +351 22 618 3420.

Include your order number, tool name, description of the safety issue, photos or videos, and product labels, batch numbers, or identifying information if available.

8. EU product safety information

For garden hand tools sold to consumers in the European Union, applicable product safety, manufacturer, importer, responsible economic operator, warning, and traceability information must be provided on the product, packaging, associated documentation, product page, or upon request where required by law.

If you have questions about EU product safety information for a garden hand tool, please contact us at info@drogariareinel.com.
